Large Hollywood Studio turns to SEO.

A major Hollywood Studio, Warner Bros., found that their new movie, Birds of Prey, was not search engine friendly. The movie title did not help them opening weekend as they missed their projection by millions. By using SEO, Warner Bros. found a way to make their movie more transparent and seeable. Therefore, Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey, was born. Warner Bros. used SEO to help the search engines get a better understanding of what the movie is about and connect to the character Harley Quinn. By adding the name/keyword Harley Quinn, it opens a whole new world of search opportunities relating to DC, Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman, and many more.


Another popular movie saga, X-Men, had the same issue with their latest movie Dark Phoenix. It didn't have X-men in the title, which made it look like a random sci-fi movie instead of an X-Men movie. The film had a very underwhelming box office presence as it brought in $65m when it cost $200m to produce. How did a company of this size screw up a Movie Title?
